For few years, Joyland Restoration Ministries has carried out its work from borrowed spaces, rented rooms, and wherever God opened a door relief distributions organized from makeshift storage, discipleship gatherings held under borrowed halls, and sponsorship visits coordinated without a true home base. Today, we’re excited to share that this season is about to change.
Joyland is launching a campaign to build a permanent Mission Center in Soroti a dedicated compound that will serve as the heartbeat of our work for years to come. This will be a home base for relief efforts, discipleship training, community outreach, and the day-to-day work of caring for the children and families God has placed in our path.
What the Mission Center Will Make Possible
A permanent center means more than a building it means stability and reach. Once complete, the Mission Center will allow Joyland to:
- Coordinate relief efforts more efficiently, with proper storage and staging space for food and supply distributions
- Host discipleship training, community meetings, and worship gatherings in a consistent, dedicated space
- Provide a reliable base for our sponsorship program, where children and guardians can meet with our team
- Strengthen our presence in Soroti as a long-term, trusted partner to the community
We’ve set an initial goal of $30,000 to begin this work, covering the first phase of construction. Every gift toward this campaign goes directly toward building this future home for Joyland’s ministry.
A Season of Expansion
The Mission Center is part of a broader season of growth for Joyland. Alongside this building project, we are continuing to expand our reach — growing our sponsorship program to support more children, deepening our relief work in Karamoja, and strengthening partnerships that allow us to serve more families across the region.
None of this is possible without the faithfulness of God and the generosity of partners like you. We believe this is a step of faith He is calling us into, and we’re trusting Him to provide every brick, every shilling, and every open door along the way.
